I have been a veterinarian for more than 20 years and I love what I do! I enjoy making connections, building relationships and strengthening the human-animal bond.
I graduated with honors from the University of Miami with a BS in biology, and then from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After practicing small animal medicine in Athens, GA for 14 years, my family and I relocated to the Lowcountry of South Carolina where I continued to work in private practice. I became a Fear Free Certified Professional in 2020 and have achieved Elite status. I enjoyed providing occasional house call visits while in Athens , GA and Summerville, SC. We recently moved to Mount Pleasant and now I am so excited to offer house call veterinary services to the communities in and around Mount Pleasant.
Hi! I’m Dr. Sherri Turick.
I have always been surrounded by dogs and cats, as my mother took in homeless strays that needed care. I always knew I wanted to be a veterinarian as helping animals live their happiest, healthiest lives is my passion. While working in a Fear Free practice, I learned how to effectively reduce a patient's stress and anxiety through different approaches and techniques. Being able to care for a pet in their own home reduces that stress even further, and allows for a unique experience and comfortable visit. I have keen interests in pain management, senior pet issues, dermatology and the socialization of puppies and kittens.
I am grateful for all the support I have from my family and friends. I live with my husband, my daughter, and our scraggly pup, Henry. In my spare time, I enjoy walking on the beach, yoga, baking, and exploring the beautiful nature the Lowcountry has to offer. We are excited to contribute to this wonderful community!

It was so much better to have her see our indoor cats in their own ‘jungle’, without them being on edge from the trip to the office.
We can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Turick and are a huge fan of home visits. The cats and the humans both have a much easier vet experience without cat carriers and the stressful car trips to and from the office.”
